at WATER-PROOF-Surf & Sail & Kite in Mastichari / Kos / Greece
The Windsurf & Sail School was established in 1992.
JOE, a qualified tool and sailmaker took over the center in 1999 from a German travel operator and created WATER-PROOF. Before this Joe worked in Turkey, Italy, Maldives and Greece, dividing his time between teaching windsurfing, cat sailing, water-skiing and diving. Apart from his work at the station Joe is the main sail maker on Kos and handles kite and sail repairs for almost all of the watersport centers on the island.
DEBBIE is his helping hand at the center . She has been on Kos since 1998 working various positions from bar and travel management to sports office management in a 5* Hotel. Debbie will be your main contact on WATER-PROOF. She will manage the station and guarantees a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Joe and Debbie speak German, English and Greek.
In Summer 2010 WATER-PROOF formed a partnership with Kiteschool KITESURFINGKOS. TOM -a long term friend, and now business partner- is the man to ask if you have any kiting question. He first started kiting in 2000 in Austria, and since than he has gained lots of experience teaching in both Austria and Greece. Tom is not only a kite instructor, he is a full-blooded watersports man, and with his experience of windsurfing and sailing he is the perfect addition to the center.
In high season all-rounder UROS will again be on board and add his special touch to the team.

We value our independence, try to remain "Old School" and to convey an authentic impression of our lifestyle to our guests. The amount of returners to us every year proves we succeed in this, and we want to sincerely thank those guys who chose to come back and spend their holidays with us from year to year!
